The thematic paradigm of local knowledge content of the Ternopil region district press of the early 21st century

The relevance of the research is determined by fact that issue studying local texts and modeling regional-historical problems in media discourse becoming increasingly important journalism today. article aims to analyze thematic specificity narrative district periodical Ternopil region at beginning 21st century. subject study features content newspapers their specificity. uses a complex-analytical approach, which combines systematic-chronological, historical-descriptive, genre, analytical, problem-thematic, bibliographic methods. chronological limits monitoring are from January 2000 December 2015. As result research, holistic view main trends processes reception printed periodicals Region century was formed, comprehensive analysis its problem-thematic direction, history context functioning regional publications Ukraine carried out. newspaper narratives were systemized into geographic, economic, historical, artistic, ethnographic groups. We have found out historic themes most popular among (27.4 %), while others showcase following results: geographical group (24.4 economic (17.8 artistic (16 (14.5 %). Local natural topics reveal potential objects. Publications on topics, highlighting achievements industries, show readers positive examples successful compatriots. Historical include materials about princely times, Liberation War, Sich riflemen West Ukrainian People’s Republic, Holodomor, World War II, particular activities OUN UPA, as well political repression emigration.
